The timelapse goes on for 8 minutes, a compilation of journeys in my car, to sitting in a coffee shop, to the trees 'dancing' in the wind. it is in a crude way, the dance of life, my life.
I decided to do something different. A sleep dance. Initially I intended to make timelapse videos of people sleeping, however I had little co-operation from friends and family members.....I filmed myself, but it proved a little difficult to sleep in a head scarf:
So I made a model of a person using the Vetruvian man as my guide, and I drew this in Illustrator.
I made a model bed from grey card, and had sewn together a bed cover and pillows.
From the model movements I made a flipbook using tracing paper and carbon paper to make the drawings, and each move was given a name.
These were then traced into Illustrator to give these crisper drawings.
This is the final poster/leaflet. The poster makes up the sleep dance hairstyle, it's a combination of all the movements.
